The JCB EU non-road Stage 5 3.0-liter engine has been officially launched
Compared with the 4.4-liter EcoMAX Euro 4 stage engine, this engine has a 24% smaller exterior size, a 30% lighter weight, but a 10% higher output torque and a 5% lower fuel consumption. The engine employs an innovative particulate emission and NOx control technology module, which is integrated into a single unit along with the diesel particulate filter DPF and the diesel oxidation catalyst DOC. In addition, the automatic engine shutdown technology also reduces pollutant emissions.
The 3.0-liter JCB DieselMAX engine has an output power of 55kw(74hp) and an output torque of the industry-leading 440Nm@1150rpm, which is 10% higher than that of the 4.4-liter EcoMAX 4-stage engine. Its CO2 emissions are reduced by 5% and fuel consumption is reduced by 5%. Thanks to the 500-hour maintenance interval, the hydraulic valve clearance regulator and the lifetime well-sealed crankcase ventilation CCV module, the filter replacement interval has been extended, and the service and maintenance cost has been reduced by 30% as a result.
The engine is equipped with four electric spark plugs, making it easier to start in cold weather and reducing the start-up time. The engine electronic control module is fully integrated with JCB's LiveLink remote monitoring system, providing customers and dealers with important operational information in real time. JCB global agents will also offer JCB-supported DPF/DOC refurbishment projects, capable of providing technical solutions for second-hand equipment exported to non-emission or low-emission regions. A more compact engine size enables JCB engineers to have better installation convenience when installing the engine and after-treatment unit.
The JCBDieselMAX 3.0L 4-cylinder engine of the Euro 5 phase will first be installed on the 531, 535, 540 telescopic boom forklift Loadall models, 3CX backhoe loaders, large platform skid steer loaders, compact crawler loaders, 6-9 ton dump trucks, off-road forklift RTFL and 13-ton excavators. To meet the upcoming EU non-road Stage V emission standards.
