On May 15, 2025, Liugong showcased nearly 20 all-scenario electric devices at the 2025 Changsha International Construction Machinery Exhibition (CICEE) under the theme of "Intelligence · Green Extending Human Power". As the core power supplier for several hybrid loaders of Liugong, Guangxi Cummins Industrial Power Co., LTD. (hereinafter referred to as "Guangkang") showcased its hybrid power modules specially developed for the construction machinery field. Under the national "dual carbon" goals and the development trend of green transformation of construction machinery, hybrid power systems that combine high efficiency and reliability have provided new "solution ideas" for construction operations in different scenarios and working conditions.

The hybrid power system exhibited by Guangkang this time adopts a technical architecture of engine + generator + controller, which is built on a mature product platform and has undergone an extremely long period of reliability verification. It is suitable for the complex working environment and high-load conditions of construction machinery. It innovatively adopts a two-in-one controller, enhancing the integration of the control system and achieving a dual breakthrough in stability and efficiency.

The hybrid power module is equipped with real-time dynamic computing capabilities, which can precisely control power output to ensure that the engine always operates in the most efficient working range, with engine fuel consumption as low as 185g/kWh. The hybrid range-extending solution based on this technology has now been successfully applied to Liugong's hybrid loaders. Measured, it can reduce the overall fuel consumption of the vehicle by 30%, significantly lowering the operating costs for customers and notably reducing carbon emissions.

At this Liugong exhibition area, a significant product, the 960FE dual-power excavator, was also on display. This excavator supports one-click switching between oil and electricity. During operation, it uses electricity as the main energy source, and when changing locations, the power mode can be switched. It is powered by a diesel engine from Guangxi Cummins L9 Plus, with a maximum power of 272 kilowatts and stable and reliable performance.

As one of Cummins' engine production bases in China, Guangkang has always been dedicated to the innovative research and development of non-road power systems. Guided by customer needs, its products are continuously optimized around the three major characteristics of "reliability, efficiency and intelligence". Under the guidance of China's "dual carbon" goals, Guangxi Cummins will continue to explore sustainable power solutions and contribute to the green and low-carbon development of the industry.
