The composition of potato starch processing equipment
Potato starch processing equipment is the general term for a series of mechanical equipment used to extract starch from potatoes. These devices cover all the links from raw material cleaning, crushing, separation and screening, purification and sedimentation, dehydration and drying to packaging and storage, ensuring the quality and production efficiency of potato starch processing.
Composition
Cleaning equipment
1. Screw cleaning conveyor: It is used for the initial cleaning of mud, sand and impurities on the surface of potatoes and also has the function of feeding materials.
2. Stone remover: Further clean the potatoes to remove hard objects such as stones, ensuring the cleanliness of the raw materials.
3. Paddle type cleaning machine: Through the multi-angle blade tumbling and stirring, it powerfully washes and effectively removes potato tubers, sand and soil clumps.
Crushing equipment
1. Curved net extrusion type potato crusher: It crushes the cleaned potatoes into small pieces or paste for subsequent starch extraction
2. Overflow washing type potato flour mill: Integrating crushing and multi-stage separation functions, it continuously crushes, washes and screens. It adopts the overflow principle to effectively separate starch from crude fiber and potato residue, thereby increasing the starch extraction rate.
Separation and screening equipment
1. Fine filtration and microfiltration machine: Through washing and screening, it separates starch particles from fibers, proteins and other impurities in the crushed potato pulp.
2. Sand and mud remover: Based on the principle of specific gravity separation, it removes heavy impurities such as sand and mud from starch slurry.
3. Centrifugal screen: It is used for further refining and screening to enhance the purity of starch.
Purification and sedimentation equipment
1. Traditional method: Sedimentation tanks or flow channels are used to allow the starch slurry to settle naturally in a static state, further removing suspended impurities and enhancing the purity of the starch.
2. Modern approach: Starch cyclone station, replacing the traditional sedimentation process, is used in the washing, separation, refining, and purification processes of automated starch production lines to separate non-starch substances such as yellow powder, oil powder, and pectin.
Dehydration and drying equipment
Dehydrator: It is used to dehydrate the starch slurry that has been settled, reducing the moisture content in the starch and facilitating subsequent drying and storage.
2. Air flow dryer: It uses high-temperature air flow to exchange heat with wet starch, quickly drying the starch to the required moisture content. Air flow drying has the advantages of fast drying speed, high efficiency and good product quality.
