When starting the engine in the cold state, first close the air intake, start the engine, and then open the air intake at an appropriate time.

Before using the grass cutter each time, check the oil level of the engine oil to see if it is within the scale range of the oil gauge. For new machines, the oil should be changed after 5 hours of use, and again after 10 hours. Afterwards, change the oil regularly according to the requirements of the manual. Changing the oil should be done when the engine is in a hot state. Adding too much oil will cause problems such as difficulty in starting, excessive black smoke, insufficient power (too much carbon deposits in the cylinder, small spark plug gap), and overheating of the engine. Adding too little oil will result in loud engine noise, accelerated wear and damage of the piston rings, and even engine seizure, causing serious damage to the engine. If it is too dirty, it will cause difficulty in starting, excessive black smoke, insufficient power. If the filter element is made of paper, remove the filter element, dust off the dust attached to it; if the filter element is sponge-like, clean it with gasoline, and appropriately drip some lubricating oil on the filter element to keep it moist, which is more conducive to adsorbing dust. The cutter head operates at high speed and high temperature during work. After about 25 hours of operation of the cutter head, add 20 grams of high-temperature and high-pressure grease. The radiator's main function is to reduce noise and dissipate heat. When the grass cutter is working, the flying grass clippings will adhere to the radiator, affecting its heat dissipation function. In severe cases, it may cause cylinder seizure, damaging the engine. Therefore, after using the grass cutter each time, carefully clean the debris on the radiator.
