During the operation of the white rice grading screen, various fault phenomena may occur. These faults may originate from operation, equipment or raw materials, etc., as follows:

I. Fault phenomena caused by operational aspects

Low sorting efficiency

Phenomenon: After screening, the material is mixed with broken or whole grains that do not meet the requirements, resulting in a decline in product quality.

The reason is that the inlet flow rate is too large or too small, resulting in an inappropriate thickness of the material layer on the screen surface, which affects the automatic classification effect. Improper setting of the screen body's rotational speed and turning radius affects the relative movement speed of the material on the screen surface.

Troubleshooting method: Adjust the inlet flow rate to ensure that the thickness of the material layer on the screen surface is appropriate; Adjust the rotational speed and turning radius of the screen body according to the characteristics of the material.

Screen mesh blockage

Phenomenon: The screen is clogged with materials, preventing them from passing through the screen smoothly and affecting the screening efficiency.

The reason is that the raw materials may contain impurities such as lumps and fibers, or the mesh size of the screen is too small, causing the material to clog the screen.

Elimination method: Clean the screen to remove impurities; Select the appropriate screen mesh size based on the characteristics of the material.

Uneven feeding

Phenomenon: The distribution of materials on the screen surface is uneven, resulting in poor screening effect.

Reason: Improper setting of the feeding device or poor fluidity of the material itself.

Troubleshooting method: Adjust the feeding device to ensure that the material is evenly distributed on the screen surface. Improve the fluidity of materials, such as through pretreatment like drying and screening.

Ii. Fault phenomena caused by equipment

Loose or damaged screen mesh

Phenomenon: The screen mesh becomes loose or damaged during operation, resulting in material leakage or a decline in screening effect.

Reason: Improper installation of the screen mesh or wear of the screen mesh due to long-term use.

Troubleshooting method: Tighten or replace the screen mesh to ensure it is firmly installed. Regularly check the condition of the screen and replace the worn screen in time.

Wear or damage to the transmission part:

Phenomenon: Wear or damage occurs in the transmission part, leading to unstable operation or shutdown of the equipment.

The reason is that the transmission part has been under load for a long time or lacks lubrication, resulting in wear.

Troubleshooting method: Replace the worn transmission components; Regularly lubricate and maintain the transmission parts.

Irregular shaking or vibration of the equipment:

Phenomenon: Irregular shaking or vibration occurs during the operation of the equipment, which affects the screening effect and the service life of the equipment.

Reasons: The support rod is loose, the spring is deformed or damaged, the base is not level, etc.

Troubleshooting method: Tighten the fixing bolts on the support rods and adjust the levelness of the base. Replace the deformed and damaged springs.

Iii. Fault phenomena caused by raw materials

The moisture content of the raw grain is too high or too low

Phenomenon: Excessive moisture in raw grains leads to high viscosity and poor fluidity of the material, which is prone to clogging the screen. If the moisture content of the raw grains is too low, it may lead to an increase in the degree of material breakage and affect the screening effect.

Reason: The raw grains got damp or dried out excessively during storage or transportation.

Elimination method: Control the moisture content of the raw grains entering the warehouse to ensure that the moisture content of the raw grains is appropriate.

Foreign substances are present in the raw materials

Phenomenon: The raw materials contain foreign substances such as lumps and fibers, which cause the screen to be clogged or the equipment to be damaged.

Reason: Foreign substances were mixed into the raw materials during harvesting, storage or processing.

Elimination method: Strengthen the cleaning and screening of raw materials to remove foreign substances; Regularly inspect the condition of the equipment and promptly remove foreign objects.
