I. Tips for Selecting Excavator Arms and Buckets
Many new users in the industry believe that the larger the bucket of an excavator is, the faster it can work and the higher the work efficiency will be. In fact, this is a misunderstanding. The bucket capacity is determined by the capacity of the bucket when it is stacked. However, due to the difference in materials, the loading capacity in actual work also varies. For instance, for wet clay, the bucket digging coefficient that this material may reach can be as high as 100-110%, but for some stones, the bucket capacity coefficient is relatively low.
The length of the excavator arm determines the magnitude of the excavator's digging force. In the actual work of the operator, if the excavator is equipped with a short arm, it is suitable to be equipped with a larger bucket, so that the digging force is greater. If a longer arm is equipped, the control of the digging range will be greater.
Therefore, users should select the appropriate bucket based on the working conditions, which can significantly save fuel. Apart from the bucket, the selection of bucket teeth also involves a lot of knowledge. Penetrating bucket teeth are more wear-resistant and can improve efficiency and save fuel in actual work.
Two, fuel-saving tips for excavator excavation
So, what height of platform is the most suitable? The data of the platform height is determined by the length of the boom. The distance between the two pins is the ideal height. To save fuel, apart from controlling the working height and distance, another important factor is the cycle time of excavation. Each bucket of excavation should be controlled between 24 and 28 seconds, and 4 to 6 buckets should be filled into one truck within 2 minutes.
And the bucket filling coefficient should be controlled at 80-110%, and each bucket should be filled as much as possible. During the excavation process, try to minimize the number of rotations and reduce the rotation Angle to within 60 degrees. Although the rotation range of the excavator can be controlled by oneself, an unnecessary rotation range will only consume fuel and has no effect on improving work efficiency.
Three, Fuel-saving tips for excavator positioning
The correct way for the operator to dig should be from right to left. This is because the cab of the excavator is on the left, and when digging from right to left, the large arm is on the right, providing a better view and facilitating the excavation work.
Four, fuel-saving tips for arranging trucks and excavators
When excavators are digging and loading, the placement of the truck and the excavator is also an art. There are two ideal loading methods. The first type is beyond the side plate. While the excavator was digging, two trucks turned upside down and took turns loading, with the excavator loading over the side panels of the trucks. This method has a sufficient digging range and a small swing and rotation Angle. The second approach is the "passing through style". After one truck is fully loaded, order another truck to come and take over immediately. This method has a short vehicle change time and is suitable for situations where the number of trucks is relatively small. It can be loaded onto the vehicle immediately, but the swing amplitude is slightly larger.
Five, Fuel-saving tips for loading vehicles with loaders
A method called the "V-shaped loading method" can be adopted for loading with a loader. The loader is directly facing the material pile, and the truck and the loader are at a 45-degree Angle. When the loader is loading, it lifts the bucket slightly. This can apply pressure to the front wheels, enhance the friction, and make the driving force stronger. After the bucket is full, the loader reverses 1.5 turns of the tires to form a V shape for loading.
Six, Fuel-saving tips for Bulldozers
The truly efficient earth-moving operation of a bulldozer is low speed and high load, minimizing the number of earth-moving operations and maximizing the utilization of theoretical traction force. In the actual process, the slot-type bulldozer method can be applied: the optimal working distance for a bulldozer is 50 meters. If the distance is too long, the material pushed by the bulldozer will disperse. In this case, the principle of the groove can be utilized to make the material more concentrated.
When a bulldozer is in operation, it first pushes out a trench, then leans a little backward and uses the trench formed at the front to carry out the pushing operation. Moving backward in stages can help retain materials and improve work efficiency. In terms of road design, the slope of general roads should not exceed 10%, and the slopes should be kept as consistent as possible. Frequent gear shifting by machines will waste time and fuel. The road surface is also an aspect of saving fuel.
In addition, for excavator users, they can also save fuel in some details. Here are a few points specially summarized:
1. Prevent the engine from idling. Even when idling, there will still be oil circulating in the hydraulic pump and consuming fuel. If one hour of the 10-hour working day is idle, then if idling can be prevented, about 20 liters of fuel can be saved each month and about 230 liters per year. This is a sum of nearly 2,000 yuan.
2. Prevent voltage loss under heavy load. When the excavated sand, soil or stones are overloaded, even if the control lever is pulled, the operating machinery will not move and will fall into a state of unpressure. If 6 minutes of the 10-hour operation time in a day are in a state of underpressure, then if underpressure can be prevented, about 70 liters of diesel can be saved each month and about 840 liters per year, which amounts to nearly 5,000 yuan.
3. Reduce the engine speed. Although reducing the engine speed will affect the workload, it can significantly lower fuel consumption and improve fuel efficiency. Of course, the prerequisite is that it won't lead to too low work efficiency. Otherwise, it might cause the employer's aversion and result in the loss of the job.
4. Reduce the rotation Angle. Reducing the turning Angle when loading onto dump trucks can shorten the operation cycle, increase the amount of work done per unit time, and thereby enhance fuel efficiency. This is also the most effective way to save fuel.
5. Reduce the engine speed when walking. The faster the engine rotates, the more fuel is consumed when moving. The fuel efficiency during movement can be improved by reducing the engine speed during operation.
6. Implement high-level mining. At the excavation site, high-position excavation, which involves excavating the higher-positioned parts first and then the lower-positioned ones, can shorten the cycle time by approximately 12% and increase the fuel consumption efficiency by about 8% compared to low-position excavation.
At the same time, the operation of the operator is the key to saving fuel. Sometimes, reducing the occurrence of errors can effectively save fuel. Saving fuel requires the operator to pay attention to every detail. Maybe putting a little thought into one action can make the work better.
