Inspection and maintenance of the picking system for straw feed baling machines

1. Transmission

● Maintenance cycle

The gear oil of the new machine must be replaced after the first continuous operation for 7 working days or 50 hours, and then every 500 hours thereafter.

● Inspection and judgment

Listen for any abnormal sounds or noises, check if the oil level is sufficient, and determine if the gear oil has deteriorated (observe whether the oil is turbid, darkened or milky white in color).

● Maintenance and care

The oil level of the main engine transmission is 4 liters, and the oil level for picking up is 8 liters. Just add oil to the observation hole. Gear oil grade: GL-580W90. It is recommended to use brand gear oil.

2. Hammer claws and related components

● Maintenance cycle

Every 8 hours of work

● Inspection and judgment

Listen for any abnormal sounds or noises, and check if the picking machine has obvious vibrations. Inspect whether the hammer claws are missing, have difficulty moving, have excessive soil or are severely worn. Keep the overall dynamic balance unchanged. Check if the bearing housing is overheated by hand (temperatures below 95° C are all normal).

● Maintenance and warranty

Grease: Select a brand of high-temperature resistant and anti-wear lithium-based grease. Adjust the grease model according to the temperature of the working season. (It is recommended to choose HP-R high-temperature grease that is suitable for all seasons.)

3. Secondary crushing shaft and related components

● Maintenance cycle

Every 8 hours of work.

● Inspection and judgment

Listen for any abnormal sounds or noises, and check if the picking machine vibrates significantly. Inspect whether the fan blades and the knife seat are too dirty or severely worn, and whether the wear of the moving knife is uniform. Keep the overall dynamic balance unchanged. Check if the bearing housing is overheated by hand (temperatures below 95° C are all normal).

4. Screw shafts and related components

● Maintenance cycle

● Inspection and judgment

Inspect whether the fan blades and the screw conveyor blades are too dirty or severely worn, and keep the overall dynamic balance unchanged. Check if the bearing housing is overheated by hand (temperatures below 95° C are all normal).

5. Adjust the pull rod

● Maintenance cycle

During the operation, make timely checks and adjustments based on the working status of the machine.

● Inspection and judgment

The machine swings too much left and right. Check and adjust the lower support arm to ensure that the left and right swing is within the range of 10-30mm or there is no obvious swing.

● Maintenance and care

Inspections and adjustments are carried out during both operation and maintenance periods.
