Maintenance
Summer maintenance of stone forklifts
The scorching summer and soaring temperatures pose significant challenges to both drivers and stone forklifts. Drivers should not only have warm boiled water and essential balm on hand at work, but also prepare heatstroke prevention medicine. Only in this way can they complete their daily work more safely and effectively. Similarly, when stone forklifts are exposed to high-temperature working environments, regular maintenance and upkeep can help them better cope with the high-temperature challenges, ensuring the mechanical performance and operational efficiency of the stone forklifts!
When maintaining a stone forklift machine in summer, the following points should be noted:
1. Check the brakes to prevent tire blowouts. For tire-type forklifts, during continuous operation in summer, high temperatures can cause the tire pressure to rise, leading to a blowout. Therefore, it is necessary to frequently check the braking performance of the entire machine to reduce potential accident hazards. During the inspection and maintenance process, it is absolutely forbidden to forcibly cool down the tires and brakes by pouring cold water on them, as this will cause serious damage to the equipment.
Second, use original quality oil products
Try to purchase all kinds of oils needed for the forklift machine, such as diesel, engine oil, transmission oil, grease, etc., from regular channels to ensure quality. At the same time, when replenishing diesel and engine oil, one should not overdo it. Because, in addition to increasing diesel consumption, excessive engine oil can also cause the engine to overheat. In addition, it should be particularly noted that if the fuel is transported by a tanker, it needs to be left to stand for more than several hours until the impurities have settled before being added to the fuel tank of the entire machine.
Iii. Add and replace antifreeze in a timely manner
Antifreeze is not only used in winter! The high boiling point characteristic enables it to effectively prevent the boiling of cooling water in hot summer, which is very important for daily use. So, if you don't want your forklift to "overheat", you should promptly check whether the antifreeze needs to be replaced or added. It is essential to replace it with the designated professional antifreeze. Under no circumstances should antifreeze of different brands be mixed, otherwise it will corrode or clog the entire engine cooling system.
Four. Use high-quality butter
High-quality butter has a very significant impact on the performance of the working device of the forklift machine. Due to the increase in temperature in summer, the adhesion of butter will decrease as it softens. As a result, the lubrication performance of various working devices will decline, leading to various mechanical failures. Butter with good heat resistance can maintain its adhesion at higher operating temperatures, and its deterioration and failure process is also slower.
V. Check the electrical circuits to prevent oil pipes from bursting
In summer, with high temperatures, various circuits in the entire machine are more prone to overheating. Before starting work every day, it is necessary to check whether the circuits are cracked to prevent short circuits and spontaneous combustion. At the same time, it is necessary to check whether the oil pipes in the entire machine are cracked or hardened to prevent them from bursting.
Six. Maintain a clean and comfortable operating environment
In the sweltering summer on the mine, a clean and comfortable operating environment is of great significance to the health and work efficiency of the drivers. When using air conditioners in summer, remember to conduct a comprehensive inspection of the air conditioning system in the cab, including whether there are any foreign objects in the radiator, etc. Regular cleaning and replacement should be carried out to ensure the cooling effect of the air conditioner.
